Ballynoe House – An Ideal Location for Self-Catering Accommodation
Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, Ballynoe House is just ten minutes from Clonakilty. Two large outbuildings (hay barn and stables) were ideally suited for conversion to holiday lets. The Ballynoe House project materialised in late 2015 during relocation to Ireland. We could find no accommodation in the area while buying Ballynoe House, even in the months of September & October.
Planning permission was granted as part of Cork County Council’s SME policy promoting the Ardfield area. Construction work started in June 2017, enabling us to launch the booking engine in October 2017 and be physically open for business in Spring 2018.
Complex construction projects require efficient time and cost management. We are fortunate to have the support of quality architects, engineers, and construction team. The interaction and attention to detail is excellent. We appreciate the efforts being made on our behalf towards project completion ahead of the 2018 tourist season. The local community in the Clonakilty area is welcoming and supportive, showing why it is a good place for business and a popular holiday destination.
The Self-Catering Business Model
The Ballynoe House business model provides luxury self-catering accommodation in a flexible way, through three purpose-built holiday lets. While standard bedroom layout satisfies traditional holidaying families, having all en-suite bedrooms (with most bedrooms providing an optional twin or double layout) meets the needs of the larger family and those families, small travelling groups or couples holidaying together, who can struggle to find suitable accommodation in the same location. The whole complex provides an optional venue for family events, corporate away periods or residential courses on a twin-sharing basis. Two acres of the private grounds of Ballynoe House are set aside as an additional amenity. Gas-fired central heating provides warmth and comfort out of season.
Thank you for your interest. We look forward to welcoming you as guests to Ballynoe House. You can follow Ballynoe House on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), or read more detail on how we decided on our business. Contact us if you require further information or book with us now.
Things have changed considerably, since this photo was taken in front of the planned development in May 2017!
