The ongoing restrictions, due to the global and national health emergency in Ireland, have forced Ballynoe House luxury guesthouse to close until further notice. There is a plan in place to reopen the business when it is safe to do so.
On 18th May 2020, Ireland began a five-stage easing of the government-imposed “lockdown”. Each stage will be of three weeks duration, ending at the end of August. The easing of “lockdown” is subject to the successful control of the COVID-19 virus and continuation of social distancing. Tourism and associated accommodation is not being considered for limited reopening until at least Stage 4. Foreign arrivals will be subject to 14-days quarantine. Additional measures on hygiene and travel may be enacted by the Irish Government that could affect the way our business is managed or potential guests who wish to stay with us. This is also important both for guests and hosts, as the accommodation provided by Ballynoe House is part of the owner’s home.
Ballynoe House is operating with the following outline plan:
- Both Mews houses will be reopened as luxury holiday guesthouses just ahead of the proposed dates for the West Cork Rally in March 2021.
- The Barn House may be available for rent from September 2020 onwards, depending on local conditions. This will not be bookable online. All enquiries are to be made by email or telephone only.
- The online booking system will remain closed to all bookings up to March 2021.
- Ballynoe House is open to discussing, in general terms, any accommodation plans being considering from March 2021 and beyond without commitment from either side. Presently, there are no guarantees that the business would have re-opened until it publicly announced. In any event, payments will only be taken once trading has resumed. Enquiries via telephone or email only.
