The development of the holiday accommodation at Ballynoe House included the installation of various safety and security equipment for our guests. These are outlined blow.

The protection of your rights to a peaceful and enjoyable stay, and that of other guests, our neighbours, home, business and environment are all important to us. This is the reason we ask all guests to sign Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) to avoid any misunderstandings regarding the standard policies for  “fair use” of the accommodation. We recommend all potential guests read them and keep a copy for their records. T&Cs are automatically agreed to as part of booking direct with us, but for bookings received from other sources we ask for the signature separately.

Fire Safety

Each of the Ballynoe House holiday lets has smoke detectors and alarms in the stairwells (both upstairs and downstairs) and major rooms. Each kitchen area has a fire detector.

A fire blanket is installed within easy reach of each cooking hob, and a fire extinguisher is situated in the hallway of each let.

Gas & Boiler Safety

A carbon monoxide (CO) detector/alarm within a short distance of the gas boiler in each kitchen. An emergency LPG shut-off value has been installed outside of the lets.

As an additional safety measure, gas boilers are not directly accessible to guests.

Water Shut Off

The emergency water shut-off valve is under the kitchen sink in each holiday let.

Emergency Lighting

In the event of a power outage, the landing, stairwell and hallway areas have emergency lighting that will provide up to three hours of light. The same lights (even if in charge mode) also light the exit route in the event of fire & smoke.

Each property has also been provided with an emergency rechargeable torch.

Security Lighting

Driveway, car park and footpaths have motion activated/time delay lighting. Switches are provided outside the doors of each mews house for footpath lighting between the lets and the car park.

Window Catches

All upstairs windows have window catches.

Blinds & Child Safety

All our Roman blinds are fitted with chains (with weak link) rather than cord, and are mounted high on the walls. This minimises potential injury to small children.

Additional Safety & Security

As a gated property, additional safety and security can be provided to guests families and events by electric gates, if required. The main gates are usually left open during occupancy.

The boundary between the guest and private areas of Ballynoe House have been signposted.
